Our Services
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Services
Comprehensive, evidence-based treatment for bladder, bowel, pelvic floor, and postnatal concerns. Every treatment plan is tailored to your individual needs and goals.
Initial Pelvic Assessment
Your first appointment is a comprehensive 60-minute consultation where we take time to understand your concerns, medical history, and goals. This may include a pelvic floor examination (with your consent) to assess muscle function, coordination, and any areas of concern.
What we assess: Pelvic floor muscle strength, endurance, coordination, and relaxation ability. We also evaluate bladder and bowel habits, lifestyle factors, and any contributing conditions.
Incontinence Treatment
Effective, evidence-based treatment for urinary incontinence (stress, urge, or mixed), faecal incontinence, and overactive bladder. We address the underlying causes and develop practical strategies to help you regain control and confidence.
Conditions treated: Stress incontinence, urge incontinence, mixed incontinence, overactive bladder, faecal incontinence, and constipation.
Pregnancy & Postnatal Care
Comprehensive support throughout your pregnancy journey and beyond. From preparing your body for birth to recovering postpartum, we help you navigate the physical changes and challenges with confidence.
What we offer: Antenatal pelvic floor preparation, postnatal assessment (6-week check), rectus abdominis diastasis (tummy separation) rehabilitation, return to exercise guidance, and treatment for any postpartum concerns.
Pelvic Organ Prolapse
Conservative management and rehabilitation for pelvic organ prolapse. Many women experience significant improvement in symptoms through targeted physiotherapy, reducing or eliminating the need for surgical intervention.
Treatment includes: Pelvic floor strengthening, pessary fitting and management support, lifestyle modifications, and education about prolapse management strategies.
Pelvic Pain & Sexual Health
Sensitive, professional treatment for pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction. These concerns are more common than many realise, and effective treatment is available in a confidential, supportive environment.
Conditions treated: Painful intercourse (dyspareunia), vaginismus, vulvodynia, chronic pelvic pain, and related conditions affecting sexual function and comfort.
Breastfeeding Support
Physiotherapy treatment for breastfeeding-related concerns including blocked ducts and mastitis. Using therapeutic ultrasound and hands-on techniques, we help resolve these often painful conditions.
Conditions treated: Blocked milk ducts, mastitis, engorgement and related breastfeeding difficulties.
Please note – treatment for damaged nipples utilising laser therapy is not currently available.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
1
Thorough Discussion
We start by listening to your concerns, medical history, and goals. This conversation helps us understand your unique situation.
2
Assessment (Optional)
An internal examination may be offered with your full consent. This is always optional, and we’ll explain the process thoroughly beforehand. As a non-invasive alternative, we also offer assessment using real-time ultrasound, with the ultrasound probe placed over the lower abdomen.
3
Personalised Plan
Together we develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs, with clear explanations and home exercises to support your progress.
Your comfort is our priority. You are always in control. Any examination is completely optional, and you can stop or ask questions at any time. We never proceed without your explicit consent.
Fees & Rebates
We believe quality pelvic health care should be accessible. Multiple rebate options are available to reduce your out-of-pocket costs.
Medicare Rebates
If your GP provides a referral under a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM/EPC), you’re entitled to Medicare rebates for physiotherapy sessions. Note – There will still be out-of-pocket “gap” cost.
How it works: Ask your GP about a CDM plan. Once referred, Medicare covers a portion of up to 5 allied health visits per calendar year.
Private Health Insurance
We have HICAPS facilities for immediate claiming of private health insurance. Simply bring your health fund card to your appointment. Rebate amount varies based on your insurance arrangements. There will still be out-of-pocket “gap” cost.
No referral needed: You don’t need a GP referral to claim private health insurance rebates for physiotherapy.
Payment Options
We accept cash, EFTPOS, credit cards, and Apple/Google Pay. Payment is required at the time of your appointment.
Fee transparency: For current fees, please contact us or enquire when booking your appointment.
