Booking FAQs

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please bring your referral letter (if you have one), Medicare card, private health insurance card, and any relevant medical reports or imaging. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to your lower abdomen if needed.

What is your cancellation policy?

At Hills Pelvic Health, we understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. However, when you book an appointment, we reserve that time exclusively for you. Late cancellations and missed appointments affect our ability to provide timely care to other patients who may be waiting for an appointment.

This policy outlines our cancellation terms, which comply with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). By booking an appointment with Hills Pelvic Health, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.

Why We Charge Cancellation Fees

Cancellation fees reflect the genuine costs to our practice when an appointment is cancelled at short notice, including:

  • Lost income from the appointment time that cannot be reliably reallocated
  • Administrative time spent preparing for your appointment
  • Staff time required to process cancellations and attempt to reschedule other patients
  • Disruption to clinic scheduling and operations

These fees are not intended as a penalty, but as a fair reflection of actual losses incurred.

Can I see you while pregnant?

Yes! Pelvic physiotherapy is safe and beneficial during pregnancy. We can help prepare your body for birth, address any bladder or pelvic concerns, and provide exercises tailored to each trimester.

How soon after giving birth can I be seen?

We typically recommend a postnatal assessment at 6 weeks postpartum, but you can be seen earlier if you have concerns. For breastfeeding issues like mastitis or blocked ducts, we can see you at any time.
